Kati Basti is a traditional Ayurvedic localised oil-retention ritual. A carefully prepared dough reservoir is positioned over the lower back and filled with comfortably warm herbal oil. The warmth is retained over the lumbar region before the treatment flows into gentle localised Ayurvedic massage.
The experience centres on lower-back comfort, sustained warmth, muscular relaxation and easing the feeling of stiffness after everyday physical strain.
