FAQs
Common questions
Where is your Ayurvedic massage studio in York?
Our private wellbeing studio is at 3 Wain Close, Huntington, York, YO32 9YQ — a quiet residential cul-de-sac off Strensall Road, about ten minutes from York city centre by car.
Is there parking at the studio?
Yes. Off-street parking is available on the property, and free on-street parking is usually available on Wain Close and the surrounding roads. The nearest bus stop is Memorial Hall on Strensall Road, a five-minute walk away, served by First York services 5, 5A and X81.
Which Ayurvedic massage should I choose?
If you are new to Ayurveda, Full Body Abhyanga is the classical starting point. If you would prefer guidance first, book a consultation and we will recommend a ritual suited to your constitution, preferences and the time you have available.
Do I need a consultation before a treatment?
Every ritual treatment begins with a short pre-treatment conversation. A separate Ayurvedic consultation is optional, and is the right choice if you would like personalised diet, lifestyle and daily-routine guidance alongside your treatments.
Is Ayurvedic massage a medical treatment?
No. The Ayur Chikitsa is a complementary wellbeing practice. Our sessions are traditional Ayurvedic relaxation and wellbeing experiences and are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
How do I book?
Ritual treatments are by appointment only. Send a request through the booking page and we will confirm your time by email, or call us on 07377 732335.
