Better Sleep & Rest
Sometimes the problem is not simply how many hours you spend in bed — it is whether you wake feeling genuinely rested.
Does this sound familiar?
Experiences people often describe
- taking a long time to fall asleep
- waking several times during the night
- waking very early and struggling to return to sleep
- feeling as though your mind becomes active the moment you go to bed
- waking tired despite having been in bed all night
- feeling irritable or foggy during the day
- difficulty concentrating when tired
- irregular sleep because of work or family routines
A traditional Ayurvedic perspective
Nidra — sleep — is traditionally regarded in Ayurveda as one of the important supports of everyday wellbeing.
Traditional Ayurveda associates Vata with qualities such as movement and variability, and Pitta with qualities such as intensity. Sleep and daily rhythm may be discussed through this traditional framework alongside practical lifestyle factors. These traditional concepts are not equivalent to a medical diagnosis of insomnia or another sleep disorder.
An Ayurvedic consultation may explore the routines surrounding sleep, such as meal timing, evening habits, work patterns, activity and relaxation, rather than focusing on bedtime alone.
What we explore in your consultation
Depending on your individual circumstances, your consultation may explore:
- waking and sleeping times
- evening meals
- caffeine
- screen use
- work schedule
- physical activity
- mental stimulation
- evening self-care
- calming routines
The purpose is to understand your everyday wellbeing patterns and provide practical, personalised diet and lifestyle guidance.
