Stress, Overwhelm & Burnout
Life can sometimes feel as though it never really switches off. Work, family responsibilities, constant notifications and emotional pressure can gradually leave us feeling depleted.
Does this sound familiar?
Experiences people often describe
- feeling overwhelmed by things that normally feel manageable
- finding it difficult to switch off after work
- constantly thinking or worrying
- difficulty concentrating or making decisions
- becoming more irritable or impatient
- carrying tension through the neck, shoulders or jaw
- headaches during demanding periods
- digestive discomfort when stressed
- sleeping too much or too little
- feeling emotionally and physically drained
A traditional Ayurvedic perspective
In traditional Ayurveda, mind and body are considered closely connected.
Vata is traditionally associated with movement, change and variability, while Pitta is associated with intensity and transformation. Daily routine, rest, activity and mental stimulation may be discussed through this traditional framework. These traditional concepts are not equivalent to a medical diagnosis of anxiety, depression or another condition.
An Ayurvedic consultation may look at the rhythm of your day, meal patterns, sleep, movement, work demands and opportunities for genuine rest — rather than looking at stress as an isolated experience.
What we explore in your consultation
Depending on your individual circumstances, your consultation may explore:
- daily schedule
- workload and periods of overstimulation
- sleep and evening routine
- meal regularity
- caffeine and stimulants
- movement
- relaxation practices
- meditation and breathwork
- practical boundaries and rest
The purpose is to understand your everyday wellbeing patterns and provide practical, personalised diet and lifestyle guidance.
